Malian Mosque Incursion
During a heatwave, I wondered what was the hottest city in the world; it was then that I discovered the incredible mud architecture of Mali. I wanted this scene to have a drastic contrast between traditional human creations and futuristic alien technology. That is my reasoning for color choice as well!
This environment is a blend of realistic and stylized. I wanted to give the impression that this mosque is a popular place, always flooded with people, until eventually people not of this world decide to pay it a visit. The entirely natural and warm-colored atmosphere is highly contrasted against the almost-purple black spaceship with neon energy pulses. Personally, I think this is my best lighting done for a project.
